Maple Blackberry Iced Tea Ingredients:

Maple Blackberry Iced Tea Directions:

Step 1: Brew 5 cups of your favourite tea. You can make it as light or strong as you like. One flavour of tea that goes really well with this recipe is black tea. Lavender or rose herbal teas are really yummy too if you like florals.

Step 2: Add 3/4 cup Amber Maple Syrup to the tea and stir until incorporated.

Step 3: Set aside to cool.

Step 4: Prepare the blackberries. In a saucepan, add 2-3 cups of fresh blackberries.

Step 5: Add 2 cups of water to the blackberries.

Step 6: Simmer the blackberries on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Stir them from time to time, breaking them down as you stir. As the blackberries heat up, they will release all of their juices.

Step 7: With a large sieve, strain the blackberries into the tea mixture. Really get in there and kind of push the blackberry pulp around with the back of a spoon so that you get all of the juice out.

Step 8: Put in the fridge to cool. When the maple blackberry iced tea is cooled down enough, then add ice and enjoy!
